The Anderson Farms Story - A Look Back
The story of Anderson Farms actually started a long time ago, back in 1911. That's when August and Josephine Anderson, who had come from Sweden, purchased a farm just south of Mead, Colorado. They made their home there with their four children: Albert, Mildred, Edwin, and Laurine. It was, you know, a different time then, and starting a farm in a new country took a lot of hard work and dedication. Their early efforts laid the groundwork for what Anderson Farms has grown into today. It’s a tale of family roots and a pioneering spirit, showing how a small beginning can truly blossom into something special over many generations. The farm has clearly changed quite a bit since those early days, but the heart of it, the family connection, still remains.

Then there's the tale of last night, which is a bit of a funny one. Six farm animals, you see, managed to sneak into the house and, rather cheekily, made off with Farmer Joe’s apple pie. Farmer Joe, of course, chased them right into the corn maze. Now, he needs some help. He's asking you to go into that corn maze and find the tracks those sneaky animals left behind. It’s sort of like being a detective on the farm, trying to solve a sweet mystery. This activity provides a charming way for children and adults alike to engage with the farm's playful side, making memories as they try to figure out where those pie-snatching critters went.
